These tickets are generally purchased on-site (often in cash) and are therefore not included in the package price.

Yes and No!

Japan does not have a specific dress code for tourists. However, you may notice that many Japanese people tend to dress modestly and avoid revealing clothing in public. April temperatures in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka are mild and comfortable, with daytime highs typically ranging from 66˚to 68˚ and cool nighttime lows averaging 48˚to 52˚. Weather is generally pleasant for sightseeing, though temperatures can feel brisk in the early mornings and late evenings, so lightweight, layered, and comfortable clothing is recommended while being mindful of local customs and cultural norms.

Here is some more information to help you prepare/pack:

Yes!

It’s a good idea to have some Japanese Yen on hand before arriving in Japan.

I recommend exchanging currency at a local bank in the U.S., as the exchange rates are often better than those at the airport or other exchange counters.

Although Japan has become much more credit card-friendly in recent years, it’s still important to carry some cash. Many temples and shrines, as well as smaller local shops and family-owned restaurants, may only accept cash.

In April, Japan experiences mild, comfortable spring weather, with temperatures varying significantly by region.

Central Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka): Daytime highs average in the mid-to-upper 60s°F (18–20°C), with crisp, cool evenings around 50°F (10°C). It is prime season for cherry blossoms (sakura).

It can also rain at any time of the year. However, April is not part of Japan’s typhoon season, so heavy rain is not typically expected.

I would recommend bringing a compact, portable umbrella just in case.
